Sheriff just made Florida massacre revelation that debunks Trump’s “good guy with gun” theory

- Februari 22, 2018

Before Trump arms teachers and the girl’s soccer coaches with deadly weapons, he may want to budget some funds to train the gun-toting rent-a-cops already patrolling some schools, starting with Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School’s “school resource officer” Scot Peterson, who resigned today.

Peterson was on duty February 14th inside the school dealing with a female student on an unrelated matter. He heard the gunfire and, for some reason, dashed outside and stood in front of building 12 for the next four minutes, Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel said today during a press conference in which he listed several ways they had failed to pick up signals about the danger the shooter posed.

Inside the school, the disgruntled 19-year-old former student was on a six-minute killing spree murdering 14 students and three faculty members and injuring another dozen people with his legally purchased a semi-automatic rifle.

That means quick action by Peterson might have saved quite a few lives, but instead surveillance footage shows him standing out front the whole time.

“I am devastated,” Israel said. “Sick to my stomach. He never went in.”

Peterson was suspended after being interrogated following the investigation and now has officially resigned.

Israel said Peterson should have “Went in. Addressed the killer. Killed the killer.”

The story of what happened in Parkland is not just one for the annals of mass murders in America, but also a case study in how everything can be done the wrong way – by the FBI, by the school, by the Sheriff’s Department – and by the system that sells automatic rifles to mentally disturbed teenagers.

It may take the kids to lead us but it is time to address the gun problem in America.
